Sheri Marie Ptolemy

Indigenous Country Artist

Sheri Marie Ptolemy is a country singer-songwriter from the Samahquam Nation. She holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and a music certificate from Berklee College of Music (2021). Since then, she has been making waves in the country music scene with an honest, roots-driven sound.

Her music features stand-up bass, groovy pedal steel, and lyrics that celebrate the timeless traditions of country music. Sheri released her sophomore EP, Heartbeat, on December 17. The project’s single “Angel” was added to Spotify’s North Country, Apple Music’s Indigenous Now, SiriusXM’s Top of the Country, and CBC Radio.

In addition to her work as a recording artist, Sheri directs and edits all of her own music videos, bringing strong visual storytelling to her live and recorded work. Based in the coastal mountains of St’át’imc Nation, Sheri delivers performances grounded in honesty, tradition, and individuality.
